What should I pack for Ireland in summer if the forecast keeps changing?

Pack for four seasons in one bag and the forecast stops mattering. The list that works: a proper waterproof jacket, not a shower resistant one; waterproof trousers if you plan to walk; layers you can add in the wind, meaning a fleece and a warm mid layer; shoes already broken in and happy on wet stone; and one set of dry evening clothes that never goes out in the rain. Summer days sit mostly between 15 and 20 degrees, and the wind off the Atlantic can make 16 feel like 10 on a headland. Check Met Eireann the night before each day and dress for the worst hour of it, not the best.
