What is the best month to visit Ireland for dry walks and long evenings?
Late May into June, with September as the runner up. On Met Eireann's long term averages, May and June are among the drier months, and the evenings stretch hard: by the solstice the sun does not set in Dublin until about ten at night, so a walking day can run from breakfast to ten o'clock light. June keeps most of that daylight with warmer ground underfoot. July and August are warmer again, but they bring the crowds, the prices and a festival calendar competing for the same beds. September trades an hour of evening light for quieter roads, and it is the month many locals would pick.
