What is a Leap Card, where do I use it, and when is it not worth buying?
A Leap Card is Transport for Ireland's rechargeable travel card. Tap on and off and it charges a discounted fare on Dublin Bus, the Luas, the DART and commuter rail, and on city buses in Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford, with daily and weekly capping in Dublin. In Dublin the TFI 90 Minute Fare charges a flat €2 for linked trips across bus, tram and rail. Skip it if the trip is mostly intercity: the card does not give discounted Intercity rail fares, and a visitor doing one walking day in Dublin will never earn the €5 card deposit back.
