How do I get from Dublin Airport into the city centre, and how long should I allow?
There is no train from Dublin Airport, and for now every way in is by road. The express coaches are the default: Aircoach route 700 and Dublin Express run from both terminals to the city centre in about 30 minutes in decent traffic, and Aircoach runs around the clock. Ordinary Dublin Bus routes, the 16 and 41, cost less and can take up to an hour, stopping often. A metered taxi from the ranks outside arrivals runs about 25 to 35 euro to the centre in daytime traffic. However you land, allow an hour from touchdown to city centre pavement once bags and queues are counted, and longer at rush hour.
