What is the best way to travel between Dublin and Belfast?
Take the Enterprise train. It runs hourly through the day between Dublin Connolly and Belfast Grand Central and takes about two hours ten minutes, with no border checks: the first thing you notice is the signs switching from kilometres to miles. Coaches are the cheaper rival: Aircoach and the Translink Goldliner X1 run through the day, call at Dublin Airport, and take a little over two hours depending on traffic. Book the train ahead for the cheaper fares, and remember Belfast spends pounds, not euros.
