How do I get to the Irish National Stud from Kildare Town?
The Stud stands at Tully, about two miles south of the town, and the easiest hop is the free shuttle bus that links Kildare railway station, Kildare Village, the town centre and the Stud through the day. Taxis wait at the station and the ride takes a few minutes. Walking takes about 35 to 40 minutes along the Tully road and is pleasant in fine weather, though it is a country road, so it suits the confident. Driving, follow the signs south from the town; parking at the Stud is free and plentiful. However you arrive, it is worth timing your arrival to one of the guided tours, which are included in the ticket.
