Where do I park in Kildare Town, and what does it cost?
Parking is the easy part of a Kildare town day. The railway station has a pay and display car park on Station Road, run by APCOA, handy for the cathedral and the square as well as the trains, and the big visitor sites remove the problem altogether: parking is free at the Irish National Stud and at Kildare Village. Rates at the station car park change from time to time, so check the APCOA page or the signs on the day rather than trusting any figure in print, this one included. Two warnings: the town tightens up on Curragh race days, and on Saturdays, when the outlet is busy. Arrive before eleven and you will not think about parking again.
