What makes a good photography route in Ireland if light matters more than mileage?
Short hops, west facing coasts and nights in the place you want at dawn. The route that serves photographers best runs Clifden and the Sky Road, the Clare coast at the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, then Dingle and the Slea Head loop, sleeping in Dingle town rather than driving in each day. Our Photography trip type in the planner caps the day at about three and a half hours at the wheel for exactly this reason. Plan each base for two nights minimum, shoot the headlands at first and last light, and use the middle of the day for the driving, the indoor sights and sleep.
