What are the best bases on the Wild Atlantic Way for a seven day trip?
Follow the shape of our 7 day itinerary. Start in Kerry: Killarney first, then a night in Dingle rather than rushing the peninsula as a day trip. Break the long run north with a night in Ennis, the Clare town under the Burren. Then give Galway two nights: the Cliffs of Moher on the way in, the city and a Connemara day out to Clifden from the base. Finish in Westport, under Croagh Patrick. Six beds in seven nights sounds busy, but every move is under three hours and each base earns its night. If you want fewer moves, drop Dingle town and Ennis and put the extra nights into Killarney and Galway.
