How should I split time between Galway city, Connemara and the Aran Islands?
For four nights, a split that works is two in Galway city, one in Clifden and one on Inishmore. Use Galway for the Latin Quarter, the Corrib and an evening of music, and as the transport hub: ferries for the Aran Islands leave from Rossaveal in Connemara, with bus links from the city, and sailings also run from Doolin in Clare in season. Give Connemara a full day on the road to Clifden, taking in Kylemore Abbey and the Sky Road, rather than as a drive through. Sleep on Inishmore for Dun Aonghasa and the island after the day boats leave.
