How many days do I need in County Dublin?
Three days is the honest minimum, and the city will tell you the same. One day for the historic centre and the big museums, one for neighbourhoods, galleries and pubs at a human pace, and a half to a full day out on the bay at Howth or Dún Laoghaire. Two days works if the coast becomes a single trip to Howth for the cliff walk and dinner. One day is a highlights reel: Trinity, the castle quarter and a pub, and you will leave knowing the centre and nothing of the city around it. Most people who allow Dublin one day regret exactly one day.
