How many days do I need in County Donegal?
Four days at the very least, and five or six is nearer the truth. Donegal has the longest distances between its sights of any county on this site: Slieve League to Malin Head is over two hours of driving before you stop anywhere. Give the south-west one day, Glenveagh and Fanad one, Inishowen and Malin Head one, and keep one for the west coast or for the weather, which on this coast is not a figure of speech. People who allow two days see the inside of their car and one cliff. It is also never, under any plan, a day trip from Dublin or Belfast.
