How many days do I need in County Clare?
Three days, and the common mistake is trying it in two. The cliffs and the Burren are forever squeezed into a single day, and both suffer: the Burren alone wants a full day of slow roads between tombs, churches and pavements. Give day one to the cliffs and the coast, day two to the Burren, and day three to Doolin and an Aran Island, or to Ennis and Bunratty if the weather turns. A fourth day lets you add the Shannon Estuary and Kilrush, or simply hear more music, which in Clare is not a filler activity but one of the reasons to come.
