Restaurant reviews

The directory says where the Irish pubs and restaurants are. The reviews say what it is actually like at the table: the food, the room, and whether it feels like Ireland or only looks like it.

How a review works here

Every review follows the same shape, so two restaurants can be compared honestly: the food (what was ordered, what it cost, and whether the kitchen is cooking Irish food or naming it), the atmosphere (the room, the music, who is actually in there), the Irish test (the small things that give a place away, from how the Guinness is poured to whether the Irish on the menu is spelled right), and practical details (address, parking and prices, marked with the date they were checked).

Reviews are starting here

No review has been published yet, and none will appear until a real visit has happened. The series starts close to home, in Florida, and works outward from there, one restaurant at a time.

First on the list to visit

Not reviewed, not visited yet: directory listings near home, first in the queue. Meg O'Malley's Restaurant & Irish Pub and The Cottage Irish Pub in Melbourne, Nolan's Irish Pub in Cocoa Beach and Hogan's Irish Pub in Cocoa, all from the pubs and restaurants database.
