New Hampshire Highland Games and Festival

Lincoln, New Hampshire · Loon Mountain Resort, 60 Loon Mountain Road, Lincoln · 17–19 Sep 2027

Three days of games at a White Mountains ski resort at the start of foliage season: heavy athletics, massed bands, sheepdog trials and try-it sessions in street curling and stone lifting.

The 52nd games are set for the third weekend of September 2027. NHSCOT, the nonprofit behind them, runs seminars alongside the spectacle, on subjects from Scottish cooking to genealogy, which makes this one of the better games for anyone starting on family history.

There is no parking at the venue itself: park in the designated lots in Lincoln and Woodstock and take the free shuttle buses up the mountain, per the organisers. Only service animals are permitted on the grounds during the games.
