Irish in Minnesota

Irish Fair of Minnesota

St Paul, Minnesota · Harriet Island Regional Park, St Paul · 13–15 Aug 2027 (dates to confirm)

Three August days on an island in the Mississippi across from downtown St Paul: six stages of music and dance, a Croke Park field for hurling and camogie demonstrations, and a crowd the organisers put among the largest at any Irish festival in the country.

The fair is run by a volunteer-led nonprofit and every dollar of profit goes back into Minnesota's Irish cultural community or to new immigrant groups through its Legacy Fund. Children 12 and under go free, which is part of why the place feels like a family reunion with stages.

Sunday's programme includes Mass on the island at 10.15am before the gates open in earnest.

The fair runs on the second weekend of August. The 2027 dates are announced on the official site.
